WILLIÈRE Georges
Georges WILLIÈRE was born in Arlon in 1860.
His father Paul WILLIÈRE [I] (1834-1894) was appointed director of the Chemins de fer Prince Henri of Luxembourg in1877. He had previously been ingénieur principal des Chemins de fer belges.
Around 1880 son Georges WILLIÈRE became secrétaire de direction of the Chemins de fer Prince-Henri in Luxembourg.
According to his patent applications he resided at least up to 1885 in Luxembourg.
It is not known when and where Georges WILLIÈRE died.
Georges’ younger brother Paul WILLIÈRE [II] (b. 1862) was an engineer residing in Liège. In 1887 he was named commissaire of the newly created Société anonyme des chemins de fer cantonaux luxembourgeois but he took up residence in Luxembourg only around 1892 when the family settled in Diekirch.
In 1910 Paul WILLIÈRE [II] took up the position of directeur of the same company.
His son Paul [III] studied engineering in Liège and founded in 1916 a commercial company in Diekirch for supplying “Belg. Kohlen für Industrie und Hausbrand”.
In 1916 Paul [III] also became commissaire of the newly founded Société électrique Mondorf of which his father Paul [II] was administrateur.
In 1929 Paul [II] took up residence in Mondorf-les-Bains. He was later joined there by his son Paul [III] .
The latter died in Mondorf-les-Bains in 1934 at the age of 46.
