TANSON Jean Pierre
Jean Pierre Joseph TANSON was born in Lellingen (Wilwerwiltz) in 1896. His father’s occupation at the time was Rottenführer in Lellingen. The latter was born in 1828 in Velthem-Beyssem, near Brussels.

1945 creation of company “Machines outils Tanson” in Luxembourg
TANSON thus spent his first 20 professional years outside of Luxembourg.
In 1946, TANSON obtained a series of six patents in Luxembourg for a Genwindewalzmaschine (thread rolling machine) which he had developed with fellow entrepreneur Albert KONNEN, an engineer residing in Diekirch.
He was a founding shareholder of the company SECALT s.a. founded in 1948 and in the early 1950s he made inventions which he assigned to SECALT. He also made inventions relating to machine guns which he assigned to BREMILUX Holding s.a. and SOLA s.a., (Société Luxembourgeoise d’Armes).
Finally in 1956-57 TANSON developed plastic roll blinds for outside placement.
He settled with his second wife Gertrud MAIER in Echternacherbruck (Germany); he died in Bitburg hospital on 19 December 1975 at the age of 79.
