SCHNADT-RISCH Wilhelm

Heinrich Wilhelm SCHNADT was born in Bochum in 1855.
In the early 1880s he came to Luxembourg to work in the steel industry. In 1884 he married Marie RISCH in Rumelange, where she was living at the time and where she was born in 1863.
Wilhelm’s occupation was Grubenarbeiter (Grubenbeamter?) and advanced to Betriebsführer in 1903.
In 1908 he became a teacher in the newly created “Bergbauvorschule” in Rumelange. He taught Zeichnen.
The SCHNADTs lived in Tétange in the late 1880s and in the late 1890s again in Rumelange.
When Wilhelm SCHNADT died in Rumelange in 1919 his family gave his occupation as représentant de la Poudrerie de Luxembourg, while his former work colleagues from the “Grubenbeamtenverein in Rümelingen” referred to him as Betriebsleiter a. D.
