RICHARD Jean

Jean RICHARD Jr was the son of Jean RICHARD Sr (1807-1849) and Jeanne BARTH (1814 – ).
He was born in 1840 in Luxembourg-city (178 rue Saint Philippe) where his father’s occupation was serrurier.
Jean was aged only 9 when his father died in 1849. At the time, his mother continued running the locksmith business in Luxembourg-city under the name of Veuve RICHARD-BARTH.
In March 1855 Jeanne BARTH (Schlosserin) married Pierre WIESENBACH (Schlosser) in Arlon and she left Luxembourg for Arlon around 1856 with the children of her first marriage.
It has not been possible to determine what happened to the Veuve RICHARD-BARTH Luxembourg-city business.
In 1867 Jean RICHARD Jr married Euphrasie HOLLENFELTZ in Arlon.
His occupation was Schlossermeister.
The couple settled in Luxembourg-city where their four children were born (11 rue Saint Phillipe).
By 1880, however, Jean and his family resided in Florenville (BE).
It is not known when and where Jean RICHARD Jr died.
