REUTER Norbert

Norbert REUTER was born in 1838 in Luxembourg-city (536, rue de la Trinité). His father’s occupation at the time was recorded as propriétaire but he later took on the function of notaire.
Norbert qualified as ingénieur civil, presumably in Liège. In 1867, when he married Catharina NEUBERG, he resided in Huy (Liége). By then his parents had already died.
The couple settled in Luxembourg-city. The first child was born in 1869, in Gross-Gasse, the second was born in 1872, in 6 Fischmarkt and the third child was born in January 1877, in Hollerich.
In 1872 REUTER founded the company “Reuter & Cie” for manufacturing explosives. The factory was located in Kockelscheuer and later took on the name of “Poudrerie de Luxemburg”.
REUTER died in Hollerich in August 1877, at the age of 39.
