PUTZ Norbert

Jacques Norbert PUTZ was born in Rumelange on 6 June 1914. His father Heinrich PUTZ was a Mechaniker/Ingenieur.
The PUTZ family left Rumelange in 1920 and settled in Steinfort when Norbert was 6 years of age.
In 1934 Norbert PUTZ graduated from the Gymnasium in Luxembourg-city and continued his studies at the Hochschule of Aachen where he graduated in 1939 as Ingenieur-Chemiker.
In 1940 he married Margot KREMER and resided in 6 rue Wedel, Luxembourg-city.
From PUTZ’s first German patent we learn that he had signed on 7 February 1941 an employment contract with the German company Nigrin-Werke Carl Gentner, Göppingen (Württ.). His place of residence, however, remained Luxembourg-city.
Around 1943 PUTZ went back to his family roots and settled in Steinfort. In March 1943 he was still associated with the German company.
In the 1950s he joined The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Colmar-Berg where he advanced to the position of chief-engineer.
In 1963 he was a candidate at the local elections in Steinfort. At about this time his wife Margot KREMER must have died.
He married again in 1964 with Anne PEFFER and settled in Schieren.
Norbert PUTZ died in the early 1980s.
