NADLER Robert
Robert NADLER, probably of Swiss origin, and his wife Walburga RETTINGER, of German origin, came to Luxembourg around 1915. They settled in Bonnevoie; NADLER’s occupation was Färbermeister. The couple NADLER-RETTINGER had three children, born in Luxembourg.
Towards 1920 the family moved to Lintgen where the third child was born in 1921.
In March 1930, Robert’s brother Emil NADLER (1877-1930), chef-teinturier, set up a société en nom collectif with Jules ETTINGER under the name of Teinturerie Ettina, Ettinger & Nadler. (“La société a pour objet la teinte et le nettoyage chimique de vêtements, tissus etc.”).
Emil NADLER, however, died in July 1930 in Luxembourg-city.
Robert NADLER died in 1966 in Luxembourg-Mühlenbach.
