François MOES was born in Roodt-sur-Ell (Rédange) in 1872. He was the son of Nicolas MOES (b. 1844) founder of the MOES atelier in Rédange.
François was a Mechaniker.
His youngest brother Joseph Mathias MOES (1879-1934) took over the family business in Redange in the early 1900s.
