MEYER Joseph

MEYER was born in 1807 in Luxembourg-Eich (Rothenberg), his father was a peintre de faïence.
He married Luxembourg-born Anna Maria BAUER and the couple had their two first children in Luxembourg in 1835 and 1836.
The family then moved to Hirschau/Ambach in Prussia, where MEYER managed a porcelain factory, before returning to Luxembourg around 1848. He settled with his family in Pfaffenthal where he earned his living mainly as a sculpteur. By then, the couple had 5 children.
Joseph MEYER died in Arlon in 1888.
