MANTERNACH Gustave

Mathias Gustave MANTERNACH was born in 1858 Larochette. His father’s occupation was Particular Förster. Gustave attended the Ecole industrielle in Luxembourg-city and, upon graduating around 1878, he joined the Administration des travaux publics as conducteur auxiliaire.

In 1885 he married Maria LAMBERT in Larochette; he resided in Redange at the time. In 1895 he advanced to the position of conducteur de 3e classe and was assigned to the Luxembourg-city office of the Administration des travaux publics.

In 1897 he became conducteur de 2e classe and later conducteur de travaux publics. He lived in the Avenue de la Porte Neuve.
MANTERNACH died in 1905 at the age of 46. He is burried in Walferdange.
