KOHN-MARX Mathias

Mathias KOHN was born in Altwies/Lothringen (under Prussian occupation) in 1874, son of an Ackerer.
Around 1900 he lived in Dommeldange and in 1904, when he married Catherine MARX, he lived in Altwies on the Luxembourg side of the border. His occupation was Müller. His wife Catherine MARX was born in 1879 on the Luxembourg side of Altwies.
KOHN’s name is associated with a Café in Altwies for the first time in 1925. In 1932 he created a commercial company registered as:
“Café de la Station (café-restaurant, commerce de farines, sons et fourrages)”
KOHN died in 1944 in Altwies/Luxembourg.
