KINTZELÉ Jean Baptiste
Jean Baptiste KINTZELÉ was born in 1822 into a farmer’s family in Heisdorf (Steinsel). He became a Baumeister/architecte/mécanicien.
In 1855 he married Catharina CONRATH. The family resided in Heisdorf and Jean Baptiste, like his father, went into local politics (1855, échevin in Steinsel).
By 1872, when KINTZELÉ applied for his patent, he had moved to Esch-sur-Alzette. His occupation was architecte constructeur de hauts-fourneaux.
He became a widower in 1894 and in 1900 he resided in Walferdange with his youngest daughter Elise.
His eldest son, born in Heisdorf in 1857, also carried the first name of Jean Baptiste. The latter married Magdalena FOLSCHETTE in Esch-sur-Alzette in 1889 (occupation: ohne Stand) and became a successful entrepreneur, négociant in Esch-sur-Alzette.
Jean Baptist KINTZELÉ Sr died in 1912 in Luxembourg-city and Jean Baptiste KINTZELÉ Jr died in 1922 in Esch-sur-Alzette.
