KALTÉ Jean

Jean Nicolas Arthur KALTÉ was born in 1900 in Pétange; his father was a Briefträger.
In 1921 KALTÉ married Anna WOLFF with whom he had a son in 1922. The family lived in Rodange and KALTÉ’s occupation was Chimist, probably in the local steel works.
In 1928 the family resided in Herserange and KALTÉ probably still worked in the Rodange Steel works.
In the 1930s KALTÉ married Germaine KLOP and in 1940 the couple, including KALTÉ’s son from his first marriage, obtained French citizenship.
By 1946 KALTÉ worked for the “Société anonyme des hauts-fourneaux de la Chiers” and by 1949 he had moved back to Herserange.
He later (1960s) came back to live in Luxembourg, to Mondercange, the home city of Germaine KLOP’s family.
KALTÉ died in 1966 in Roeser.
