DE PRÉMOREL Alexis

Alexis Louis Alphonse de Durand de PRÉMOREL was born in Braunschweig and was married to Marie Catherine Joséphine de NOTHOMB, born in Differdange in 1809, and daughter of Jean-Antoine de NOTHOMB and Marie Catherine Antoinette BOCH.
The couple married in 1830 and around 1835 settled in Differdange. As of 1823, PRÉMOREL was garde de corps du roi, capitaine.
Professor Jos. A. MASSARD published an extensive article on PRÉMOREL in 2012, entitled:

Alphonse de Prémorel (1799-1888), propriétaire à Differdange, homme de lettres, amateur d’archéologie et de sciences, pionnier de l’exploitation des schistes bitumineux 

Alexis Louis Alphonse de Durand de PRÉMOREL died on 25 April 1888 in Carignan (FR).
