CORNET Bonaventure

CORNET was born in Houdemont (Province de Luxembourg) in 1771. In 1814 he married Marie-Claire DONDELINGER, born in Ettelbruck in the year 1782. The wedding took place in Echternach.
Marie Claire DONDELINGER was the daughter of Jean Henri DONDELINGER, who was fabricant de cailloutage and owned a faïencerie in Echternach. He had bought the Abbaye d’Echternach in 1797.

CORNET was régisseur of the Forges de Bissen. He appears to have taken an active part in the local community since he became échevin in Bissen in 1824.
CORNET, however, must have left Bissen in the 1830s for Echternach to join his wife’s family (Faïencerie Dondelinger).

He died in Echternach on 6 February 1843, at the age of 72.
