CITO Millo
Camillo (Millo) CITO was born in Newark, New Jersey (USA) in 1909. His father Clement (alias Camille) CITO had emigrated to the USA in August 1907 where he worked as superintendent for the Irvington Smelting & Refining Works, New Jersey.
Camille CITO senior was born in Bascharage in 1871 and had qualified in 1899 as chemical engineer in Aachen.
The family returned to Belgium around 1918. Millo CITO thus grew up in Belgium and became an engineer.
Around 1927 his father Camille had founded a company in Belgium by the name of “La Métallo-Chimique” for the production of copper sulfate.
It is possible that Millo CITO joined his father’s company.
In 1937, however, he worked for the Brussels company “Manufacture Générale Métallurgique, s.a.” and in 1944 his name is associated, as inventor, with another Brussels company named “La Soudure Electrique Autogène, s.a.”
As of 1949 he appears to have acted as independent engineer. He lived in 39, Avenue Hamoir in Uccle. His US and Brazilian immigration records show that he visited these countries repeatedly between 1945 and 1969.
It is not known when and where he died.
