CARMES François

François CARMES was born in 1857 in Wiltz.
In 1877, he married Amélie GLESENER in his home town Wiltz. At the time CARMES resided in Luxembourg-city and his occupation was Klempner. Amélie was born in Esch-sur-Alzette in 1851.
In 1878/1879 the couple CARMES-GLESENER resided in Clausen where they had their first two children.
Around 1880 the CARMES family moved to Amélie’s home town Esch-sur-Alzette, where five more children were born. Three of the CARMES sons became Klempner.
François CARMES died in 1912 in Esch-sur-Alzette.
His wife Amélie GLESENER took over the business and in 1914 she moved it from Alzettestrasse to the Oberpoststrasse in Esch-sur-Alzette.
