BUIRON Nicolas

The founder and owner of BUIRON & Cie was Nicolas Remy David BUIRON, born in Verzeney (Reims) in 1825. His father’s occupation was instituteur.
In 1852, when he married for the first time, he was a gendarme in Paris. When he married for a second time in 1862, his occupation was tisseur (fabricant de tissus).
In November 1876 BUIRON opened a shoe shop in Luxemborg-city (maison Veuve Loutz, 4 rue du Fossé).

BUIRON transferred his shop to 21 Grand-rue in 1879.
He took part in the 1880 Exposition d’Ettelbruck, but he must have left Luxembourg soon after, since he no longer advertised his shop nor his products.
He died in 1891 in Reims.
