ANGELSBERG Pierre
Pierre ANGELSBERG was the son of Wilhelm ANGELSBERG (Ackersmann), born in Grosbous, and Catharina WEYLAND, born in Perlé.
Pierre was born in Perlé in 1840.
In 1872 he married Elisabeth FRISING, born in 1847 in Ettelbruck. Pierre’s occupation was Steinhändler and Elisabeth was Dienstmagd in Reims (FR) at the time. The couple had eight children.
ANGELSBERG was an Ackerer, Schenkwirth, Handelsmann in Perlé.
In the late 1890s he was conseiller communal in Perlé.
The ANGELSBERG-FRISING couple owned ardoisières (slate quarries) in Perlé:
Les propriétaires d’ardoisières « Angelsberg-Frising » à Perlé (Grand-Duché de Luxembourg) occupent 80, 90, 100 ouvriers, suivant la saison.
They also owned the Hôtel de l’Ancre d’Or on the Place Guillaume in Luxembourg-city. They sold it in 1914. (see Addendum)
Pierre ANGELSBERG died in 1917 in Luxembourg-city (22 Marie-Theresien Gasse).
