LAVANDIER Emile
(1885 - 1926)
Mondercange
Emile LAVANDIER was born in Mondercange in 1885 where his father was a Schreiner.
He received his secondary education at the Diekirch Gymnasium and qualified as engineer at the Polytechnikum Karlsruhe in 1911. His first job was in the steelworks of Hagondange.
In 1916 be became chief engineer in the Rheinische Stahlwerke in Duisburg, and in 1919 he joined the HADIR steelworks in Differdange as chief engineer, in charge of machinery and maintenance.
In 1925 he advanced to become Assistant-Director of HADIR.
LAVANDIER died soon after, in 1926, at the age of 40.
