OBERHOFFER Paul
The OBERHOFFER family originated in Trier. Heinrich OBERHOFFER, born 1824 in Trier, married Elisabeth JACQUIN in 1849 in Trier.
In 1856 the OBERHOFFER-JACQUIN family came to Luxembourg-city (rue du Saint Esprit). Heinrich took on the position of music teacher at the Normalschule.
His eldest son Louis (born 1851 in Trier) became an Apotheker and married Coralie TREINEN. The couple must have left Luxembourg around 1875 to settle in Alsace, where their two children were born, Paul being the second child, born in 1882.
In 1886 the OBERHOFFER-TREINEN family came back in Luxembourg-city where Louis had set up a pharmacie in 12 rue des Viaducts (later in 34 Grand-rue).
Paul graduated from the Athénée in 1900. He studied engineering in Aachen and obtained his Dr-Ing degree in 1907.
Paul OBERHOFFER died in 1927. He is buried in Luxembourg-city.
