WETZEL Jacques
(Emile Jean) Jacques WETZEL was born in Munster/Alsace in 1868. His father was a boulanger.
In 1900 Jacques was running a droguerie médecinale in Thionville with his brother Martin. Jacques was the pharmacien and Martin the droguiste.
In 1907 Jacques WETZEL married Eugénie SIMMER in London and must have come to Luxembourg-city shortly afterwards. Eugénie was born in Thionville in 1885.
The couple lived in 64 avenue de la Faïencerie and had two children born in Luxembourg in 1908, respectively 1909.
Judging from the places of residence indicated in WETZEL’s patents, he left Luxembourg for Paris in March 1910.
Jacques WETZEL eventually settled in Lapoutroie/Alsace as pharmacien (as of 1935 at least), where he died in 1951.
