MEHLEN Nicolas

Nicolas MEHLEN was the son of Jean Baptiste MEHLEN, bottier in Rollingergrund.
Nicolas followed in his father’s footsteps and became a maître cordonnier.
In 1862 he married Johanna SALTZER (born 1835 in Luxembourg-city). Around 1866 the couple settled in Charleville (Champagne-Ardenne) where their first two children were born.
Nicolas’ father died in 1866 and Nicolas came back with his family to Luxembourg around 1870 to settle in Rollingergrund.
In 1892 Nicolas transferred his business to Luxembourg-city (40 Grosstrasse):

Nicolas MEHLEN (Schuhmacher) died in Luxembourg-city (3 Monterey-Avenue) in 1904.
