GRETEN Charles

Charles Pierre GRETEN was born on 16 January 1873 in Reckange-sur-Mess. His father Nicolas was an Ackerer.
Around 1906 Charles and his brother Auguste founded a Maschinenfabrik under the name of “Aug. & Ch. Greten”, located in rue Mercier (Luxembourg-Gare).
Charles, however, left the business around 1914 and started his own company under the name of “GRETEN-HELDENSTEIN”. The company was selling machines agricoles rather than building them, which remained the main interest of Auguste.
Charles GRETEN died in Luxembourg-city in 1945.
