Jean Pierre CITO was born in 1858 in Bascharage. His father was an Ackerer.
Jean-Pierre was initially an hôtelier resident in Pétange (Hôtel de la Gare). His name as aubergiste in Pétange is mentioned in the local press as early as 1876 and at least up to 1881. Towards the mid-1880s he must have converted to mécanicien when he associated with Pierre FUNCK to make 2 joint inventions in relation to the railway industry.
CITO died in Bascharage in 1949.
